Company co-founders Troy Jaggard and Elise Golanowski began My Media Magnet in 2009 as a customized web development company with a unique focus on social media marketing and management. With Troy at the helm of development and Elise focusing on communications and graphic design, the two of them began breaking into the web design market in Calgary, Alberta. As a young company with a true passion for customer satisfaction, My Media Magnet soon found itself evolving in new and exciting directions to meet the changing needs of their clients.

Enter WordPress – an open-sourced content management system with the power to provide clients with a database, blogging platform, customized front and back end and more. Blogging platforms had always been a large part of My Media Magnet’s social media approach, however now they began moving towards building entire sites on WordPress. With customer satisfaction at their source of their decision, MMM was now able to offer sites that were fully integrated with client blogs and various other social media platforms. Clients began to reap the benefits of having sites with editable content and image areas to allow for regular updates without the use of a web developer or the inconvenience of changing code. In addition, using Google analytics, My Media Magnet began to see a change in traffic to their sites built on WordPress as opposed to other traditional coding languages. 

Realizing the potential of blogging platforms to rate higher on Google because of several coding specifications as well as their ratings within blog specific search engines, My Media Magnet widened its focus once again to encompass evolving client needs. Building beautiful, custom, easy to update websites helped clients establish an online presence. However, increasing site traffic, reducing the site bounce rate and encouraging your audience to perform your desired conversion online is what truly adds value to a business over time. 

Thus, we arrive at My Media Magnet – the company it is today as 2011 draws to a close and a New Year is upon us. Still evolving, My Media Magnet has become a full service web development and online marketing company. From designing and developing customized websites, social media profiles, contests and campaigns to running entire search engine optimization and pay per click advertising campaigns their services continue to evolve.

Troy really found his love for web development when he was accepted into Dev Studios. Now called Pixel Blue College, it is Canada's leading digital post-secondary institution, offering a unique education experience in all digital media. Troy excelled at Pixel Blue College while receiving a diploma in Design and Motion Graphics. He strongly feels the importance of a well built website created with the intention to increase search engine optimization leading to more visitors.  After all, what good is a website that nobody visits.  Troy has unbelievable skills when developing websites and is always staying on top of the newest WordPress and social media trends.

Elise Golanowski Co-founder & Branding and Marketing Designer

After graduating from the Communications program at Mount Royal University Elise was soon romanced by the ever growing and changing world of online marketing.  Elise quickly became a vital role in many companies branding and marketing strategies.  Elise specializes on project management, website & graphic design, and content generation. She utilizes these skills to increase & improve companies online market saturation, website search optimization, and social media networks.  Elise specializes in creative thought, project planning, and teamwork and has been proud to assist dozens of clients for My Media Magnet.
